The fall and holiday season seemed to fly by! I’m just now getting caught up on our personal photos, and I thought I’d post a handful of favorites from November. It was a happy and busy month for us. Sweater weather finally arrived in Shanghai, we took part in a number of fun holiday related events, and Isla perfected her newly-acquired walking skills and grew teeth like it was nobody’s business (she cut her first tooth just before her first birthday and within six short weeks she had SEVEN!). Needless to say, this crazy teething marathon didn’t provide a lot of opportunities for great sleep in November…
Enjoying the final warm days of fall at the little park in our neighborhood. Miss Sassy Pants, indeed.
Isla’s personality continues to evolve and she has a fabulous sense of humor… and yes, a little sass.Love, love, love that Isla has adopted the “Chinese squat” from watching the local people. She is also obsessed with Mama’s water bottle.Dainty little pinky!
We spent one Sunday morning visiting XinChang Ancient Town with our lovely and talented friend, Maja, to take some photos for our Christmas cards. Below are the two we chose for our card. Thank you, Maja! We absolutely love our photos!
After our photos, Isla and Daddy had fun sampling a few of the treats they were selling in the town…Every year our school hosts a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and if weather permits, a flag football game beforehand. Isla worked up her appetite for turkey and stuffing by running around on the sidelines and cheering for her daddy.Preparing for winter and wearing her new mittens for the first time.
