Isla and Charlie

On the desk of every great artist sits a sweet cat. Well, maybe not, but wouldn’t that be nice?

“Mom, Charlie is better than eating ice cream all day! And better than going to the children’s museum 100 times! He’s better than going to Disneyland… he’s even better than going to Hawaii!” Those of you who know our Maui-obsessed child, this is really something! Charlie has quickly ascended to the top of all her favorite things.

During their first weeks together I would often find Isla and Charlie curled up together in her reading tent. When I peeked in on them this time Isla grinned at me and excitedly whispered, “Charlie was on my lap and gazing up at me with loving eyes.”

We’re pretty sure getting Charlie was the best parenting decision we’ve ever made.
