Documenting Our Pregnancy

From the moment we found out we were expecting, we knew we wanted to find a fun and creative way to document my belly growth. We were receiving weekly statistical updates on Isla’s development from Baby Center, and decided to include that information, along with our own memorable details.

The creative process was pretty simple. First we found the brightest, whitest wall in our house for me to stand in front of for the photos. Before sending the images on to Isaac, I removed the backgrounds in Photoshop. Then, Isaac relied on his trusty graphic design training and Adobe Illustrator to create the layouts, using free fonts from Font Squirrel.

It has been so fun to look back at these designs and remember the special details about each stage of pregnancy. We’re going to include these images in Isla’s baby book, so that she can look back and see just how excited her parents were about her arrival!
