Christmas Day was simply perfect! Lots of quality time spent with both our families, beautifully decorated homes, thoughtful gifting, incredible food… the only downside was that the day had to end!
The Marshalls and vB family all gathered in Salem to open gifts and enjoy breakfast together. It was a lovely, leisurely morning, and having a darling 2 year old frolicking amongst the packages made it all the more fun!
SO excited!!!
“YEEEEES!!!!!!!” Morgan’s priceless reaction when she realized Uncle Isaac had the movie Elf on his computer…
My favorite…
The Christmas pyramid we brought Isaac’s parents from our Christmas in Germany last year.
We found this adorable little owl backpack in Shanghai. My heart absolutely melted watching Morgan walking around with it on…
Morgan in her new silk Chinese dress… too, too cute!
Morgan LOVES Elmo!
Auntie “Chadols” bought Morgan some fun dress up shoes…
Isaac completely spoiled me with a new 100mm Canon Macro lens… I was/still am totally stoked! Of course, I had to test it out right away…
Rich concluded the present opening by telling us all about his hilarious Christmas tree ordeal. This is all that remains of the original tree he cut down. The lesson of the day: DO NOT buy Christmas trees that grow on hillsides! There is simply no way to get them to stand up straight. =)
In the afternoon we headed north up to Portland to celebrate with the LaRocca/McDaniel families. I have been so excited to see my mom’s charming new house at Christmas time, and it looked like a little winter wonderland!
A little more macro lens fun…
To borrow a line from the Grinch,”Then they feast, and they feast, and they feast, feast, feast, feast!”
Hehehe…
I can only imagine the reactions T is going to get when he wears this around Bellingham, Washington!
Bella, forever hopeful… =)
