The final days of summer are here, and once again we find ourselves wondering where the time has gone?! August was a jam-packed month for us, both with work and with play. Perhaps we’ll find some time to sleep this fall?
We made several trips out to the sweetest little drive-in along the Sandy River, called Sugarpine. The food is both delicious and gorgeous! Get their hazelnut brickle topping on your ice cream. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
A lovely little stroll around Bridal Veil Falls after all that ice cream…
Our friends, Brian, Nicky and Sam, were in town from Florida, and we had such a great time sharing a little sliver of our home state with them. Cole was beyond fascinated with Sam, and couldn’t keep his hands off of him. Sorry, Sam! We’ll keep working on that personal space concept.
Backyard BBQ and a slip-‘n-slide: the quintessential summer experience!
Epic towing/launching services provided by Uncle Chad.
Isla has been asking Toni and Chad if the plums were ripe every time we’ve seen them for the past year. Literally. Needless to say, when she asked once more and heard that magical, “yes,” she was beyond thrilled!
Cole tried his first plum… actually, he devoured his first plum. Then he brushed up on his yard game skills.
Nana got the kiddos this sweet little pool, and it was great fun on sunny afternoons!
Madelyn brought her new puppy, Tinker, over one evening! Pool and a puppy. Does it get much better than that?!
To wrap up pool time, we gave Madelyn the hose. Cole retreated to a safe distance and watched from there. Smart kid!
