2 Months

Isla turned 2 months this Tuesday, and Thursday marked her 9th week of life- how did that happen so quickly?! Honestly, where does the time go?

Isla seems to be growing longer by the minute, and while our little string still only has one tiny leg roll at the top of each thigh, she’s beginning to fill out with some sweet baby chub. She has the cutest double chin when she giggles, and her soft cheeks are starting to round out. We must kiss them a hundred times a day! I just kissed them again- simply can’t resist!

Isla’s strength and coordination are also continuing to grow and improve. She loves to stand on our laps so that she can look around, and she’s staying balanced in this upright position for longer stretches of time. Isla nearly has full control of her neck now… much less “bobble head baby” these days. I’m so excited to introduce her to her bumbo chair when we’re home in the states. I think she’ll love it!

Perhaps the most fun aspect of Isla’s development these days is her darling personality. Each new morning she greets us with brighter smiles, sweeter coos, and now the beginnings of giggles… seriously amazing! Isla eagerly interacts with just about everyone she meets, but she absolutely lights up as soon as she sees her daddy. Watching the two of them together… well, that’s when I turn right into a pile of mush.
